We are thrilled to welcome Stephanie Muskat and Srini Correa to the leadership team of the Canadian Caregiving Advisory Network (Caregivers CAN), our pan-Canadian network of caregiver advocates. Stephanie will be joining as the new co-chair to Brenda Blais, with Srini stepping in as the first Committee Lead.

A former young caregiver to her mother, who lived with dementia, Stephanie is the founder of Caregiving in Compassion, which offers therapy and coaching to caregivers to support their mental health and well-being. Most recently, she served as the emcee of the 2025 Canadian Caregiving Summit, which gathered over 500 advocates, leaders, policy makers, caregivers and care providers across Canada to #ActOnCare.

Srini was a young caregiver to her husband during his battle with colorectal cancer. As a widow and parent, she uses her voice and story to raise awareness about the experiences of caregivers to people with cancer in Saskatchewan. As Committee Lead, Srini will support the sustainability and succession planning for Caregivers CAN and help advance priorities for the network.

We look forward to the insight and leadership they will bring as we continue to elevate caregiver voices, foster collaboration, and build a stronger, more inclusive caregiving community.

“It has been such a privilege to be a member of Caregivers CAN for several years alongside other passionate caregiver advocates and changemakers who wish to see the change we so need in Canada. I am grateful to now be in the co-chair position as we continue to work together towards a shared vision for enhancements in national caregiver awareness, initiatives and shifts in policy and systems.” – Stephanie Muskat

“Caregiving to my late husband, navigating widowhood, and only parenting has been grueling. Out of adversity, I have found empowerment at CCCE and Caregivers CAN through advocacy, community, and connections. I am constantly inspired by the dedication and commitments of everyone at CCCE. I am honoured to step into this new role and look forward to building connections and advocating for change.” – Srini Correa

“As I reflect on my first year as co-chair, I’m filled with gratitude for the CCCE team whose vision and support have made this experience transformative. CCCE’s mission to elevate caregiver voices and drive systemic change aligns deeply with my own values, and together with the passion of our committee, seeing that vision come to life each day is truly inspiring. I’m looking forward to collaborating with Stephanie and Srini to continue making a lasting impact for caregivers across Canada – ensuring they feel seen, heard, valued, and supported.” – Brenda Blais

As we welcome Stephanie and Srini, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nicole Dauz for her leadership over the past two years. During her time as co-chair, Nicole helped to ensure caregiver voices were centred in the National Caregiving Strategy and supported the advocacy efforts of CCCE. Along with Brenda, she was the co-host at the Summit’s parliamentary reception and holds a seat on the National Care Champions Table.

We’re looking forward to continuing our advocacy efforts with Caregivers CAN to create real change for caregivers and care providers across Canada.

About Caregiver CAN

With membership from coast to coast to coast, Caregivers CAN helps shape and support CCCE projects and priorities through collective co-design.

Caregivers CAN is co-chaired by two members of the group for a two-year term. The co-leads work together to facilitate quarterly meetings, represent the interests of the group to the wider CCCE team and define annual priorities and projects.
