CAG Pre-Conference Event: Caregiving Is a Seniors’ Issue

Caregiving is one of the most pressing yet overlooked issues affecting older Canadians. We’re proud to host an interactive pre-conference session that brings together caregivers, advocates, researchers, and sector leaders ahead of the Canadian Association on Gerontology’s annual conference to explore the latest evidence and identify practical advocacy strategies to strengthen supports for senior caregivers across Canada.

Participants will hear insights from CCCE’s Caring in Canada report, engage in a discussion with leaders from caregiving organizations across Atlantic Canada, and take part in facilitated conversations focused on advocacy and action. The session will create space for learning, connection, and collaboration while helping participants strengthen the links between caregiving and seniors’ advocacy efforts across Canada.

Please note: Registration for this free session does not include general entry to the 2026 conference of the Canadian Association on Gerontology. Interested participants are welcome to register for this pre-conference session even if they are not attending the full conference.
