Children’s Healthcare Canada Annual Conference

October 20 to October 22
St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador

Children’s Healthcare Canada’s annual conference brings together organizations serving children and youth across Canada to shape a better future for our youngest generation. This year’s conference focuses on the concept of right-sizing child healthcare systems and how we can meet the unique needs of children and youth.

Our executive director, Liv Mendelsohn, and director of policy and government relations, James Janeiro, will be hosting a session on how we can build a brighter future of care through a National Caregiving Strategy.

A Brighter Future of Care: Towards National Caregiving Strategy for Canada

One in four Canadians is a caregiver today. Despite the prevalence of care in all aspects of Canadian society, the policy response from all orders of government is woefully inadequate. CCCE is working to bring these issues to the top of policy agendas across the country, starting with pushing the federal government to develop a National Caregiving Strategy. Work on this strategy has begun, following the federal government’s announcement in Budget 2025. Join us for a session where attendees will be able to share their input into a National Caregiving Strategy.

Speakers:

James Janeiro, CCCE
Liv Mendelsohn, CCCE
Jennifer Churchill, Empowered Kids Ontario

Our executive director will also be speaking on a panel about how to improve care for children with medical complexities.
