National Caregiver Day Symposium 2026

April 07, 2026
The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto

We’re proud to co-host the National Caregiver Day Symposium 2026, in partnership with the Canadian Home Care Association. The symposium will bring together leaders from the caregiving and care provider sectors, alongside employers, researchers, policymakers, and system leaders from across the country to advance meaningful solutions that strengthen caregiver well-being in Canada. Every day across Canada, family members and friends step forward to care for loved ones with complex health and social needs. Alongside them, home care workers and other care providers deliver skilled, professional support that allows people to remain safely at home and connected to their communities. Together, caregivers and care providers form the backbone of home care. Yet the pressures they face are intensifying. Care needs are becoming more complex, workforce shortages are deepening, and systems remain fragmented.

This gathering reflects our continued commitment to strengthening caregiver well-being and  building stronger alignment between caregivers, care providers, and the systems designed to support them. This year’s theme will explore how caregiving evolves across the lifespan and how health systems, workplaces, and communities can better respond to changing needs at different life stages.

Attendees will hear from leading voices in caregiving research and practice, learn from the lived experiences of caregivers  and care providers themselves, and engage in cross-sector conversations designed to spark innovation and collaboration.
