Community Living Ontario’s 71st Inspiring Possibilities Conference – Advancing Inclusion and Well Being of Adult Siblings During Times of Significant Life Transition

September 19, 2024
10:15 am – 11:30 am EDT

Community Living Ontario is hosting its 71st Annual General Meeting and Conference – Inspiring Possibilities – from September 17 to September 19. The event is one of the largest gatherings in North America dedicated to promoting inclusion for people who have an intellectual disability.

Advancing Inclusion and Well Being of Adult Siblings During Times of Significant Life Transition

For the past two years, Siblings Canada has been working on a research project with Western University’s Dr. Pamela Block and Dima Kassem to study changes in adult sibling relationships and roles during times of major life transition.

This session will outline a practical understanding of how these relationships may change across the lifespan so that parents, service providers and policy makers can consider the impact and better understand and offer the right support to siblings with or without a disability.
