Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Training Workshop for Adult Siblings

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Kids Brain Health Network and Siblings Canada are offering a six-week Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) training workshop for adult siblings of a person with an intellectual disability or autism.

ACT can help better manage difficult feelings and life events by learning to connect with themselves mindfully and respectfully.

The sessions will be facilitated by siblings and family members of people with intellectual disabilities and autism. Two of the facilitators are also clinicians.

When: The virtual ACT training workshop will occur weekly over six consecutive Tuesday evenings. Following the workshops, the facilitators will hold a refresher session on December 20.
