Giving Care: An approach to a better caregiving landscape in Canada is the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence’s first policy whitepaper. The report aims to ignite a public conversation on the state of caregiving and offer potential policy solutions to address the many challenges and systemic issues experienced by Canada’s 8+ million caregivers and care providers across the country.

Canada can be the greatest place in the world to give and receive care. CCCE is committed to working with caregivers, care providers, care recipients, researchers, policy makers and people with lived experience from coast to coast to coast toward a better future for all those who give care.

The whitepaper is the first in a series of actions planned by CCCE to rally support for policy creation to establish a coordinated approach to caregiving. Over the course of the coming year, CCCE intends to convene stakeholders across the country and host a national caregiving summit. This will lead to the development of a national caregiver strategy created in collaboration with organizational partners and people with lived experience from coast to coast to coast.
